Full Container Transport is our core business. A full container load (FCL) is an ISO standard container that is loaded and unloaded under the risk and account of one shipper and only one consignee.
Sea Shipping Line negotiates large volume, confidential contracts with multiple vessel operators in all global trade lanes. We offer rates for Full Container shipments from any origin point in the USA to any point worldwide. Our contract management system also contains FCL door trucking rates as well as rates for cargo inbound to the United states from foreign origins.
Less-than-container load (LCL) is a shipment that is not large enough to fill a standard cargo container.
Sea Shipping Line offers less than container load (LCL) rates from the United States to most destinations around the world. We also offer LTL (less than truckload) rates to complement our LCL product thus providing complete rates from door USA to overseas destinations.
Few companies offer Sea Shipping’s expertise when it comes to cargo that is too high, wide, or heavy to fit in a container. Our oversize division has years of expertise in moving all types of out of gauge cargo including special projects, part charters, break-bulk, flat racks and open top containers. From autoclaves and airplanes to mud pumps; mining conveyors and mill components to World Cup yachts; we have probably seen it before and can offer competitive rates and high quality service. Our experience includes shipments touching the USA and also cargo that is sourced outside of the U.S. and shipped to anywhere in the world.
Another specialty of Sea Shipping Line is transportation of automobiles and vehicles around the world. We offer ocean freight, vehicle loading, consolidation and documentation to make this process simple and efficient. We also utilize specialized car carriers for Roll-On Roll-Off (RORO) shipments when the service is available and when it is cost effective.
Household Goods and Personal Effects are an integral part of our service portfolio. Sea Shipping Line works closely with moving (removals) companies and freight forwarders who are actively involved in the international transportation of household goods and personal effects.
Climate control or refrigeration required? A refrigerated container or reefer is an intermodal shipping container used for transport whereby refrigeration is required for temperature-sensitive cargo. This is no problem for Sea Shipping. We can offer refrigerated or climate controlled equipment as required.
Cargo hazardous or require special handling? Again, no problem for Sea Shipping. Most normal hazardous shipments are covered within the scope of our contracts and we have at least one staff member in each office who is hazmat certified.
There are certain classes of hazardous materials that Sea Shipping Line does not accept. See our Hazardous Materials Policy here.
